The original concept, goals, & objectives in forming DSS were very simple: To offer & provide only a superior quality security service to those customers who demand and require only the highest possible levels of service, quality, and professionalism in their security and asset protection programs. Prior to forming DSS, these qualities seemed inconsistent and seemingly unavailable with other security organizations operating within our region.

The “Warm Body Syndrome:” For many years, the security industry has been plagued by unscrupulous contract security companies struggling to compete for the most customers and for the lowest bid. These companies charge the least, promise the most, and usually perform the worst. These companies rush to find a warm body, throw a uniform on them, and then dishonestly present this individual to the customer as a qualified, experienced & trained security officer.

DSS does not believe in or subscribe to the “warm body syndrome,” which is contrary to, and a very common practice in the contract security industry. That is, we do not offer or provide “warm bodies” to work in any security related function for any customer. Each of our Security Officers are fully licensed, qualified, experienced & trained, and each enjoys salary & benefits substantially higher than our local competitors. We do not maintain minimum or sub-standard wages for our employees. In order to provide our clients with superior, reliable, dependable & professional high quality services, we must hire and retain experienced & highly qualified personnel, and pay them well.
